Antonio De Benedetto is the chef at Tacabanda Restaurant, in Asti, and he has an ambitious: changing the world using food. To do this, he created a restaurant and a hotel in which the staff is made up largely of young men and women with disabilities who come from all over Italy to train and work. These boys and girls, each with their own dreams and plans for the future, are trained by Antonio to tackle a path towards freedom and independence.
Alex Toselli is president of the Download Albergo Etico cooperative; a long experience in the financial sector and various positions of responsibility in the corporate and investment banking branch, has helped to transform what was only a dream, into a virtuous example of social enterprise, capable of combining quality tourism with real social inclusion, showing how social innovation can focus on quality of life and talent, even for the most fragile people, creating opportunities for true integration and new professional figures: revenue disability management, experts in accessible tourism communication, hotel marketing on special needs, cafeteria and bars mediated services, kitchen professionals with modules dedicated to the coaching of resources with disabilities.
